Introduction
The Marine Culture (Cross) Innovation Research Center is a cross-border exploration jointly established by the Institute and China (Qingdao) Research Institute of Marine Engineering. China Research Institute of Marine Engineering is an interdisciplinary research institution led by the School of Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University and guided by Zhang Jianmin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, focusing on marine engineering, marine equipment, marine information, marine energy and marine ecological environment.
The Research Center closely combines the advantages of Tsinghua University’s design discipline with Qingdao’s marine resources endowment, carries out research and implementation on marine IP cultural creation research and development, coastal community, marine resource protection and sustainable design, and marine equipment industrial design around the theme of marine culture, jointly builds an open and shared platform for marine cultural exchange, explores innovative paths and models for the inheritance, protection and development of marine culture, and promotes new breakthroughs in the strategy of managing the ocean.
