Introduction
The Institute of Health Care Industry Innovative Design is the earliest interdisciplinary design research and industrial transformation platform established in China's design disciplines. ZHAO Chao, Professor in the AADTHU, presided over the establishment and serves as the director, and, WU Mengchao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, serves as honorary director, both of whom join hands with many academicians and experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering to carry out collaborative innovation through the integration of medicine, engineering, sociology, psychology, geriatrics and other disciplines with design disciplines, committed to building a high-level research institution for the innovative design of health care products/service systems.
The Tsinghua Institute of Health Care Industry Innovative Design will set up a branch in the Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research. Facing the "Healthy China 2030 Planning Outline" and targeting social issues such as global aging challenges and medical experiences, the Institute aims to create a new professional system and discipline paradigm of "health design". With the goal of improving the innovation level of product system and service in the health care field, improving people's medical experience and building a healthy quality of life for the public, through the theoretical research and design practice of products/services integrating production, teaching and research, the Institute seeks to contribute knowledge system to the innovative application of health industry and the construction of cutting-edge design disciplines, and guide the industrial transformation of design achievements and the establishment of the health design personnel training system.
