On June 18, The Qingdao Industry-University-Research Symposium by Experts and Scholars from Tsinghua University was held at Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research ("TASA"). At the symposium, participants from industries, universities and research institutions shared their contents from various angles, made wonderful speeches and communicated with each other combined with their own fields, which are valuable references for TASA to promote the integrated development of arts and sciences.
QIN Chuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, highly thanked all participants for their advice and suggestions. He believed that the situation of Qingdao is in harmony with the development of TASA, because Qingdao is at the forefront of international innovation and development, its business environment is excellent and its industrial clusters are rich. He also pointed out that in order to promote practical cooperation for industrial chain and help the high-quality development of local economy and society with the wisdom of Tsinghua University, TASA should, based on the overall layout of Tsinghua University and the advantageous industries of Qingdao, pay attention to efficiency, give full play to its advantages, make the best use of industry-university-research in-depth collaboration measures such as exchange and cooperation, resource sharing, complementary advantages and joint development, and actively improve the transformation path of the discipline achievements of advantageous resources.
QIAN Xiaojun, Deputy Director of Schwarzman Scholars of Tsinghua University, said that local enterprises have been very concerned about the construction of achievement transformation platform of TASA. He hoped that the whole-discipline advantages of Tsinghua University could be fully put into practice to develop effective paths for scientific research exchange and technological achievements implementation, and that enterprise demand investigation and research would be actively conducted to deeply integrate into local core industrial chains.
YANG Jinlong, Professor of School of Materials Science and Engineering in Tsinghua University, is very excited about the development of TASA after its construction. He hoped that TASA would fully implement the national innovation and development strategy and cultivate innovative & entrepreneurial talents, with the intention of promoting the transformation and upgrading of local enterprises, realizing the positive interaction between TASA and local industries and achieving a higher level of development of TASA.
In the opinion of LIU Yinong, Professor of Department of Engineering Physics of Tsinghua University, the combination of art and science is an innovative window with significant potential at present. In addition, innovation should be carried out based on local industrial base, advantageous industries and core industries, and the construction of industrial chain innovation system should be actively conducted, so as to continuously improve the strong competitiveness with the characteristics of art and science integration.
ZHANG Baohua, Secretary of Party Branch of Department of Textile and Fashion Design of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, said that under the background of more emphasis on cultural self-confidence, the cultural and creative design has been a new model of spreading Chinese culture worthy of being explored and tried. He expected that TASA, through a large number of high-quality external cultural projects, could make the traditional consumption industry more vigorous and energetic and join hands with enterprises to create new consumption hotspots.
CHEN Lei, Director of Department of Visual Communication Design of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, shared relevant cases of visual communication design that he has been involved in. He stated that with the great progress of TASA, visual communication design could be better integrated into commercial development and social innovation. He hoped that interdisciplinary exchanges and cooperation could be carried out to improve the exploration of disciplines and promote the evolution of design.
YUAN Bo, Deputy Director of Department of Visual Communication Design, the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, talked about specific ideas on the transformation of design achievements, the training of future-oriented talents, and the promotion of industrial demand at different levels. In accordance with her suggestion, enterprises should fully explore intangible cultural heritage or broader cultural assets, so as to develop the ability of local expression.
CHEN Hui, Deputy Director of Department of Sculpture of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, explained in detail the specific cross relationship between art and other disciplines. He pointed out that fresh ideas could be derived from the integration and communication of professional disciplines, and the concept of "Design+" was more suitable for the mainstream thought of social, economic and cultural development in the current era.
Based on his own entrepreneurial experience and the development of TASA, DONG Jun, Chairman of Tsinghua Holdings Technology Innovation Co., Ltd., suggested strengthening government communication and school-enterprise cooperation, so as to create a multi-functional platform for industry-university-research exchange.
ZHU Yunfeng, Vice-president of Qingdao Langyatai Group Co., Ltd., demonstrated the transformation and development path and main achievements of the five major parts of beautiful and healthy industrial system of Qingdao Langyatai Group. He pointed out that the marine biological health industry of Qingdao Langyatai Group is highly harmonious with the future health and welfare part of TASA, which will accelerate in-depth communication and innovative cooperation between the two sides in brand research and development.
LU Li, Planning Department Manager of AUCMA Co., Ltd., was highly encouraged by the symposium. He suggested that the development of enterprises should be supported by human resources through innovative school-enterprise cooperation mechanism, and hoped that, based on the advantages of the platform resources of TASA, the mode of technology fusion and joint research cooperation would be improved to achieve breakthroughs in industrial technology innovation.
According to LI Qiushi, General Manager Assistant of Human Resources Center of Sailun Group, the technological breakthroughs would lead to industrial innovation, and innovation and development would shape the future of enterprises. He believed that the deep integration of technology innovation and industry development will be actively improved through the effective cooperation path with TASA.
SONG Peng, Project Manager of Central R&D Institute of Tire Industry of Doublestar Group, said that he has learned a lot from the industry-university-research symposium. In order to accelerate the joint construction of innovative laboratory, he would actively participate in the platform construction of TASA in the future, so as to share platform resources and achieve innovative products.
In addition to expressing great gratitude to the experts, professors and entrepreneurs who participated in the meeting, Deputy Director WANG Jiansong described in detail the work progress of TASA. He said that TASA has received extensive attention from all walks of life since its establishment. He pointed out that, always relying on the national development strategy and people's livelihood as the basic orientation, TASA is committed to fully exploring the whole-discipline advantages and talents of Tsinghua University, and serving the long-term development of local economy, society and culture by means of school-government cooperations such as integration and innovation of art and science, achievements implementation, enterprise incubation, talent cultivation, entrepreneurial services, and exchange and communication of art and culture. He hoped that through the industry-university-research symposium, TASA could further strengthen cooperation with local enterprises, so as to realize mutual benefits and win-win results.
Secretary of Party Branch LIU Weidong explained the physical space construction of TASA to the participants of meeting, especially the details of the geographical location, functional layout and space planning of TASA. He pointed out that according to the innovation and development requirements of leading enterprises in 24 major industrial chains in Qingdao, TASA has been carrying out major technical breakthrough and demonstration of achievement application, with a number of high-quality enterprises being settled in. In the future, TASA would provide diversified services for the government and enterprises, so as to accelerate the development of emerging industries in Qingdao.
