On May 20, under the guidance of Qingdao Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research worked with Qingdao Science and Technology Finance Commissioner Training Camp to jointly hold the "Technology Empowers the Creation a Future of Art" Technology · Finance · Art Theme Forum. Experts and scholars from Tsinghua University and fields of science and technology, culture and art, finance, etc., from Qingdao were invited to discuss the cutting-edge concepts and latest achievements of art design and technological innovation, the transformation and application of such achievements, the technologies’ empowering of urban construction, the promotion of art design, the innovation, application, and development of technology and finance, etc., bringing a unique academic feast for Qingdao.

Opening remarks by Deputy Director ZHANG Tianbao
Deputy Director ZHANG Tianbao delivered an opening speech. He pointed out that as the only dispatched research institute by Tsinghua University in Shandong Province, Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research has made remarkable achievements in promoting the integration of local arts and sciences, the transformation of achievements, and the cultivation of talents. The successful Qingdao Science and Technology Week also fully reflects the perfect interaction between artistic aesthetics and scientific research. He emphasized that Qingdao Municipal Science and Technology Bureau will resolutely implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on scientific and technological innovation, vigorously promote the spirit of scientists, continue to gather high-quality scientific and technological financial resources, give full play to the comprehensive advantages of scientific and technological finance commissioners, fully promote Qingdao's art innovation and scientific and technological innovation as well as the in-depth integration of technology, finance, and art, give birth to new industries, create new cultures, and meets people's hope for a better life.
Opening speech by Deputy Director ZHANG Haijian
Deputy Director ZHANG Haijian delivered an opening speech. First, on behalf of the Organization Department of the Party Working Committee of West Coast New Area and the Qingdao West Coast New Area Talent Recruitment Center, he expressed his sincere gratitude to the guests and audience who participated in the forum. He affirmed the outstanding contributions made by Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research in the West Coast New Area in terms of innovation and talent aggregation. He introduced to the guests that this forum aims to promote exchanges and cooperation in different fields, strengthen the deep integration of technological innovation and social development, and empower the high-quality development of the West Coast New Area. Speech by Associate Professor SHI Danqing
Associate Professor SHI Danqing delivered a keynote speech on "Artistic Expression of Ecological Data". He put forward the concept of artistic expression of ecological data. In his opinion, the combination of digital art and data science can provide a new way of ecological experience. Through ecological data artworks, the "sensitivity" of the human body can be enhanced, making ecological problems visible and sensible to people who once ignored them, and thus motivating people to take action to improve the environment. According to Mr. SHI, "Data plus art can make ecology visible, or, in my opinion, visibility is a relatively simple state. It does not teach us something with indoctrination; instead, it makes us truly feel it."
Speech by Deputy General Manager CHEN Fenghua
CHEN Fenghua, Deputy General Manager and Executive General Manager of Zhongtai Securities Shandong Investment Bank Headquarters, gave a keynote speech on "The Road to Financing for New Industries and New Formats". She said that the current information network technology accelerates innovation, and the artistic, cultural and creative industries are booming by adopting digital knowledge and information as their key production factors. New technologies, new business forms, and new models emerge one after another, and gradually evolve from the transformation and development of industrial organizations into economic format transformation. She pointed out that the superimposed development of art, technology, and finance integration should receive continuous attention from platform companies with a large user base, rich technology accumulation, and strong financial strength. By providing open-source systems, they can create an open environment, and promote cross-border integration and business innovation.
Speech by Chairman WANG Guang
Chairman WANG Guang made a speech on the theme of "Technology Drives Progress and Leads the Future". He shared his successful case of realizing the scene-based innovative application of artificial intelligence and robotics through the empowerment of art design which is backed up by the platform of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Application Innovation Laboratory of Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research. He pointed out that the current downstream product design should attach importance to both the functionality and artistry, and put more emphasis on user experience, so as to seize opportunities in the market.
Speech by Enterprise Founder HU Jinhao
HU Jinhao, General Manager of Qingdao Monster Culture Brand Management Co., Ltd., gave a speech on the theme of "Road for Building National Monster Culture IP ". He talked about his transformation from the identity of a service provider who, with a keen eye on the cultural creation market, started his second entrepreneurship in building a national IP in the cultural industry by taking the Classic of Mountains and Seas as a creative blueprint. He pointed out that with the rapid rise of the national culture IP industry, the potential huge market has been continuously developed. Through digital means such as animation, film and television programs, trendy games, and e-sports, the national culture IP integrates traditional cultural resources into the existing cultural industrial chain, develops IP symbols popular among Generation Z consumers, and opens up a trendy path for the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture in the new era. That is the power source of cultural and artistic creativity.

During the forum, the signing ceremony for the joint establishment of scientific research institutions by Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research and related parties was also carried out. On behalf of Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research, Deputy Dean WANG Jiansong signed contracts with Associate Researcher TU Shan and Chairman WANG Guang on the joint establishment of Waterfront Environment Innovation Laboratory of Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research and Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Application Innovation Laboratory of Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research, which was congratulated by the guests and audience on the site.

In the guest conversation session, Vice President WANG Jiansong started a conversation on the art-science fusion, art finance, IP-driven, new media technology and digitalization with some guests, which stimulated many thought-provoking ideas for enterprise operation and industry development. Moreover, guests were invited to interact with the audience, answer questions raised by the audience, and share their opinions and experiences with each other.
Associate Professor SHI Danqing
Associate Professor SHI Danqing pointed out that the development of technology also brought about the revolution of art, the universal development of digital technology lowered the threshold and cost of interdisciplinary development, and "cross-border" would become the new development trend of digital art in the AI engineering era, which required us to explore the possibility of technology consolidation in macroscopic views on the basis of broad design.

Associate Researcher SU Zhipeng pointed out that the role of art and science in promoting local industry upgrading was gradually emerging. However, it's necessary to avoid utilitarianism, explore deep value, give full play to artistic efficiency, improve public aesthetics, and maximize benefits.
Associate Researcher TU Shan
Associate Researcher TU Shan said that it was of great practical significance for people-oriented art design to pay attention to and study the relationship between technology trend and design and the integration of technology and design development. Meanwhile, he observed the utilization of design in different contexts from the perspective of the value of the times. "Design is also an exploration of experience," he summarized the foresight of the design industry.
Deputy Director YANG Hong
YANG Hong, Deputy Director of the Finance Department of Qingdao Metro Group and Chief Financial Officer of Qingdao Railway Construction Investment Co., Ltd., talked about the combination of art and capital under the "upgrading of traditional industries" and pointed out that traditional industries could bring about new growth through design creativity. The consumption structure of Chinese urban residents had changed from subsistence to enjoyment and development, and the demand had changed from daily necessities to higher standard of living. The cultural and spiritual consumption continued to rise, and the relationship of co-existence and co-prosperity between art and finance had never stopped.
President ZHANG Tao
ZHANG Tao, CEO of HCH Chain, talked about the current development of digital economy and pointed out that the development of urban digital economy should be empowered by blockchain ecology, and first-class resources could be integrated to build a blockchain industry ecosystem around four major sectors of innovative application, startup incubation, venture capital fund and talent training with reliance on industrial application scenarios. Attention should be paid to building a "industry + capital + one-stop incubation" mode-centric whole-industry-chain startup service platform characterized by openness, communication and sharing, so as to provide blockchain application services for the government and entities and provide incubation and acceleration services for startup enterprises.
Summary of Vice President WANG Jiansong
Vice President WANG Jiansong said in the summary of the forum that the fusion of technology and art was not only a simple application of technology, but also a combination of thinking mode and innovation method. It was necessary to explore the organic combination of digital art and financial field, so as to create more value for artists and investors. He pointed out that the fusion of technology, art and finance cannot be achieved in a straight line. The Academy would uphold the purpose of innovative development of art-science fusion, continuously expand thinking boundaries, break down discipline barriers, strengthen cross-disciplinary cooperation, and create a bright future for technology, finance and art with all parties.
