Delegation from Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Visited Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research
On the afternoon of November 2, 2023, Semen Mikhailovsky, Rector of Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, Cui Fan, Secretary-General of the Russian-Chinese Culture, Education, Science and Technology Development Foundation, Guo Ningning, Deputy Secretary General of the Russia-China Culture and Art Foundation, Li Ronggui, Vice President of Qingdao University, Wang Shaobo, Dean of the Academy of Arts and Design of Qingdao University, Wang Yunbo, Division Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Division of Qingdao University, and Zhao Peng, Associate Professor of the Academy of Arts and Design of Qingdao University, visited Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research (hereinafter referred to as “the Academy”). They were accompanied by Zhang Haijian, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the Party Working Committee of Qingdao West Coast New Area, Teng Zuwei, Deputy Director of the Office of the Administrative Committee of Qingdao West Coast New Area, Liu Chunjie, Deputy Division Director of the Economic Development Division of Lingshan Bay Film and Television Cultural Industrial Zone of Qingdao West Coast New Area, and Liu Weidong, Secretary of the Party Branch and Assistant to the Dean of Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research.
The delegation first visited the International Design Industry Laboratory and the Art and Science Experience Center, and toured various thematic exhibitions. The top-ranking exhibits representing cutting-edge industries in the fields of art and science from around the world left a deep impression on the delegation. The team of the Academy systematically introduced the construction concept and development ideas of the Academy, as well as relevant innovative achievements in the integration of art and science.
Secretary Liu Weidong welcomed the delegation of Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. He hoped that the visit could promote exchanges and cooperation between the Academy and Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, further strengthen the international vision of the Academy, and jointly cultivate more innovative leaders to contribute to the cultural and talent exchanges between China and Russia.
Mr. Semen Mikhailovsky thanked the Academy for the hospitality. He shared the experience of Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in art education and cultivating innovative abilities, and hoped to establish a diversified partnership with the Academy in the future to jointly explore the development directions of art and science, and promote the development of art and design disciplines.
The Academy will actively respond to the calling of the central government to promote the high-quality development of Sino-Russian cultural exchanges, by introducing more international top resources, facilitating the communication and cooperation between excellent design resources at home and abroad, jointly building platforms and sharing resources, in a bid to ensure the stable and long-term development of Sino-Russian cooperation.
