A Delegation of Shandong Talent Development Group Attended a Symposium at Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research

Led by ZHANG Zhuxiu, Director and General Manager of Shandong Talent Development Group Co. Ltd., a delegation attended the Symposium at Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research for exchange on the morning of May 11, 2023. The delegation members were SHI Lei, Head of Talent Investment Company affiliated with Shandong Talent Development Group Co. Ltd., DONG Huafeng, Deputy General Manager of Shandong Talent Holdings Co., Ltd., CHEN Zhiwei, Deputy Director of Domestic Investment Promotion Bureau of West Coast New Area, and CHANG Fei, Head of Industry Promotion Department of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area. LIU Weidong, Secretary of Party Branch and Assistant to the Dean of Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research went together with them for the discussion.

At the Art and Science Experience Center, they visited the International Art & Science Collaborative Innovation Works Exhibition themed on "Where Art Meets Science · A Better Future is Created" sponsored by the Academy. Secretary LIU Weidong introduced the excellent achievements in the integration and innovation of art and science to the delegation. Afterward, they visited the Design Laboratory of the International Industrial Research Department and the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Prototype Laboratory to gain an in-depth understanding of the Academy's operation mechanism and development concept. Secretary LIU Weidong highlighted to the guests the Academy's historical heritage of Tsinghua University and its achievements in promoting the integration of the university and city to help upgrade and develop local industries.

Subsequently, the visitors visited the supporting facilities at the Academy, including incubators, restaurants, and condominiums, and better discussed the university-enterprise cooperation model.

At the Symposium, Secretary LIU Weidong stated that since its settlement in Qingdao, the Academy has always functioned as the only research institute dispatched by Tsinghua University in Shandong Province; it endeavors to make the most of Tsinghua University's advantages in all-disciplinary resources and talents with the construction of an art and science integration and innovation system, facilitate wider and deeper interdisciplinary and cross-industry intersection and integration between academic achievements and local industries, and empower the growth of the industrial chain and talent chain in Shandong Province, solve the "bottleneck" technologies and talent shortage for enterprises, fueling regional transformation and development in an innovative way.

Deputy General Manager DONG Huafeng shared the growth history and operation conditions of Shandong Talent Holdings Co., Ltd., and gave a brief introduction to the industrial development. He mentioned that, Shandong Talent Holdings Co., Ltd., according to the strategies of building China's "2+N" Patterns of Talent Pool and the Flying Geese Model as well as a marine power constructed by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Shandong Provincial People's Government, functioned as a capital support platform enabling high-end talent gathering in China and beyond and fostering talent innovation and entrepreneurship by means of "practical hard & core technology + fund investment empowerment", as well as the implementation of the projects.

General Manager ZHANG Zhuxiu mainly introduced the talent group's business development and talent big data construction. He pointed out that Shandong Talent Development Group Co. Ltd. had thoroughly implemented the requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee for the development of talents, actively integrated into and served the overall national and provincial talent plan, followed the main line of "4+2" chain integration development, and explored the platform-based chain talent development model of "introduction+ service + finance + industry " based on big data support. The group is committed to "building a platform to empower and rejuvenate Shandong through talents aggregation", and has achieved a series of results. He is looking forward to establishing a regular exchange mechanism with the Academy in the next step, and carrying out cooperation in the introduction and cultivation of high-end talents, the incubation of scientific and technological achievements, and the joint construction of industries.
