On June 24, 2020, under the joint organization of the United Front Work Department of Working Committee (UFWDWC), Federation of Industry and Commerce (FIC), and Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (FROC) of Huangdao District, Qingdao City, SUN Zhaoxu (Deputy Director of UFWDWC of Huangdao District) and ZHAO Yang (Secretary-General of FIC and responsible person of Business Exchange Service Center) led the responsible persons of more than 20 related enterprises including GAO Yi (Chairman of Financial Property of Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone) and WANG Huaying (President of Qingdao Rural Commercial Bank) to visit the Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research (TASA) for exchange, with a view to gain an in-depth understanding of the operation mechanism and development concept of TASA, reinforce the communication between TASA and enterprises, propel "investment promotion and talent attraction", and serve the economic development of West Coast New Area. 

This investigation incorporated three parts: on-site visit, the introduction of TASA's operation, and exchange and discussion. Guided by LIU Weidong, Director of Operation and Management Office of TASA, Mr. SUN Zhaoxu and his delegation investigated the five functional divisions within the park and visited the core buildings of the park including the art and science experience center, workshops and incubators, and were deeply impressed by the design concept, function layout, and architectural environment and style of TASA's park. 

After the on-site visit, Mr. LIU Weidong further introduced the background and purpose to establish TASA, as well as the nature, innovation function, and platform structure of TASA in the transit office building, With the deepening understanding of TASA, visitors learned that TASA serves as such a research institute that can promote achievement transformation and technology transfer, drive industrial upgrading and economic development, and create social value. Subsequently, an exchange seminar was held by the enterprises and TASA to discuss their cooperation direction in the future. 

At the seminar, the leaders of the authorities and the responsible persons of the enterprises spoke highly of TASA and proposed instructive suggestions on the specific operation mode of TASA. Mr. SUN Zhaoxu stated that the establishment of TASA is of extraordinary significance to the West Coast New Area. Abundant in resources and robust in strength, TASA can establish an innovative service platform of international standards, help advance the effective implementation of the policies related to "investment promotion and talent attraction" in the West Coast New Area, and guide enterprises towards the correct direction of development by cultivating the concept of "design". Mr. SUN Zhaoxu hoped that TASA can make good use of the superior resources of Tsinghua University, flexibly play its leading role, and work with the authorities and competent departments of the West Coast New Area to bring renovation of innovative ideas and industrial upgrading to local enterprises. Taking the donation of the "Deconstructive Angel" (a sculpture of Belgium artist Bart'd Eyckermans) as an example, the enterprises and TASA brainstormed the potential mode and various ways of future cooperation, which provided guidance from multiple perspectives for TASA to further integrate social resources and build an industry-university-research collaboration platform.
