TASA holds a work conference with the West Coast New Area Management Committee
On the afternoon of May 29, 2019, ZHAO Chao, Deputy Dean of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University (AADTHU), and Deputy Director of Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research (TASA), and other persons visited ZHOU An, Director of the West Coast New Area Management Committee, and had an in-depth discussion with leaders of the Management Committee on the holding of the Tsinghua Arts & Science Innovation Design Festival.

Mr. ZHAO Chao introduces the preparation of the Design Festival. He said that the planning theme and activity mode of this festival would be based on design subjects and dedicated to creating a favorable city atmosphere suitable for design innovation, build an industry-university-research collaborative innovation platform, and drive industrial innovation, education upgrading, and technological progress by design, thus creating a new strategic highland integrating design and technology, industry and life, and city and ecological environment.

At the conference, Director ZHOU An recognized the preparation situation of the Design Festival and highly appraised the construction situation and the future development direction of TASA. He stressed that certain achievements had been obtained from the cooperation between the New Area and Tsinghua University and hoped that TASA could continue to give full play to the subject and talent advantages of Tsinghua University, introduce high-end resources at home and abroad, and properly plan and hold the Design Festival, to make it another large-scale international festival in the New Area.
