Vice President Wang Jiansong said that art and science are closely related to life, while the innovative direction of TASA is to focus on the clothing, food, housing, travel and education of ordinary people, and to pay attention to and serve people's livelihood so that art and science can be a part of the daily life of ordinary people and innovate their lifestyles. Art and science are a specific form of expression, but should ultimately be based on cultural expression. TASA will actively respond to the needs of the national cultural strategy, strengthen our cultural confidence, enhance our cultural soft power, and take practical action to help build a socialist cultural power. TASA expects to strengthen the linkage and interaction with the Alumni Association, and through the integration and innovation of art and science, it will develop into a source center for the integration and innovation of art and science, a promotional center for breakthrough innovation and development of the industry, an R&D center for enterprise technology and product innovation, a cultivation center for sustainable cultural development, and an innovation center for the collaborative development of major projects. The development of TASA will be inseparable from the support of the human resources of Tsinghua University. Only through multi-party collaboration can TASA play the role of "aircraft carrier" and lead the young artistic and innovative talents to explore new frontiers.

Wang Dongsheng spoke highly of the development of TASA with the belief that the development plan of TASA will bring new opportunities and more possibilities for the transformation of Qingdao's industrial design industry. He also put forward some suggestions for the development and positioning of TASA.

First, TASA should coordinate the arrangement of and give overall consideration to the Art and Science Experience Center, take the preparation for the unveiling ceremony as an opportunity to strengthen the cooperation between the two sides, support culture, art, innovation and design to drive research results and industrial innovation through the preparation and establishment of art funds and other forms of support, create art and design exhibition brands, and build a regional culture and art center.

Second, TASA should clarify the positioning of the International Academic Exchange Center (IAEC). IAEC is an interactive space for innovation achievements and an international exchange platform, where TASA utilizes its multiple communication functions by holding international large-scale activities, and is one of the important and inseparable carriers for the integrated and innovative development of art and science. TASA should be far-sighted, aim high and have an international vision, taking into overall consideration of the future development concept, service standard and management mechanism of the Center, strengthening the integrated management of TASA and enhancing the awareness of scientific research and academic safety, so as to provide a comfortable and safe academic exchange environment for internationally renowned experts and scholars. The Shandong Branch of Tsinghua Alumni Association will also fully support and promote the construction and development of IAEC and jointly facilitate the development of academic research.

Third, TASA should pay attention to the combination of art and science, and be committed to the transformation of the design industry. At the same time, it should also attach importance to the creation of an artistic atmosphere in TASA and the cultivation of the artistic accomplishment of the staff, expand more art sections, and use TASA as a platform for the display and integration of visual art, music, dance and other forms of art. At the same time, TASA should form linkage and interaction with Tsinghua University and the Alumni Association, so that the future art developed by TASA for the community can be combined with the art education of Tsinghua University, and the cultivation of young art and design talents can be further facilitated.

Finally, in response to Premier Li Keqiang's call for "innovation and entrepreneurship of university students", Vice President Wang Dongsheng said that the Shandong Branch of Tsinghua Postdoctoral Alumni Association will give full play to its own advantages and stand in the height of the times to carry forward the school motto of the alma mater, "Self-Improvement and Virtue", to fully support the construction of TASA and cooperate with TASA in establishing postdoctoral workstation and carrying out the series of activities for the "National University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition", so as to provide new impetus for the future development of TASA and the transformation of Qingdao's art and design industry.
