2025 National University AI Creativity Competition for Propaganda and Education of Consumer Rights and Interests Protection Grandly Kicked Off
On the morning of May 9, the National University AI Creativity Competition for Propaganda and Education of Consumer Rights and Interests Protection was grandly inaugurated at Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research (TASA). With the theme of “AI Empowering Consumer Rights and Interests Protection with Creativity Leading the Future,” this competition aims to stimulate innovation enthusiasm among young students and enhance society’s attention and protection of consumer rights and interests through deeply integrating artificial intelligence technology with consumer rights and interests protection.
The launch ceremony was jointly organized by TASA, Ant Group, and Zhejiang E-Commerce Bank Co., Ltd. (MYbank), and undertaken by TASA’s Interdisciplinary Education Innovation Research Center. XIE Qihong, Director of the Training Center of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University (AADTHU) and Director of TASA’s Interdisciplinary Education Innovation Research Center, presided over the event. Nearly 150 participants from local universities and enterprises were attracted, who engaged in positive interaction and overwhelming response.
Opening Remarks
At the outset of this event, speeches were delivered respectively by guests including ZHAO Chao, Vice Dean of AADTHU and Vice President of TASA, WANG Jiao, Chairperson of Ant Group Design Committee, LIU Xu, General Manager of Customer Service and Consumer Rights Protection Department for Zhejiang E-Commerce Bank Co., Ltd., and CAI Liaoliao, Deputy General Manager of Customer Service and Consumer Rights Protection Department for Zhejiang E-Commerce Bank Co., Ltd.

ZHAO Chao extended his congratulations on the launch of the competition and emphasized the commitment of TASA as an open platform to promoting disruptive innovation and transformation of results in various industries through the integration of art and science. He pointed out that the competition’s theme, “AI Empowering Consumer Rights and Interests Protection with Creativity Leading the Future,” would ignite the innovation enthusiasm of young students and raise public awareness for consumer rights and interests protection. In response to social issues such as financial fraud, he also emphasized that designers and artists should shoulder social responsibilities and leverage AI technology in combination with art and design to enhance the public’s financial protection awareness and knowledge.
WANG Jiao noted that Ant Group had participated in consumer rights protection activities for two consecutive years, expressing her hope to witness the creativity and ideas of young people in using AI to interpret anti-fraud and information security. She mentioned this year’s collaboration with TASA and expected to stimulate more inspiration via this competition against the backdrop of rapid AI development, so as to motivate young people to convey their social responsibility and consensus on consumer rights and interests protection with new technologies.

LIU Xu shared MYbank’s practices and challenges in the propaganda and education of consumer rights and interests protection, pointing out that financial fraud methods are constantly evolving, with a complete industry chain formed in illegal and gray industries. She proposed that MYbank would protect users’ fund security by technological means, hoping to work together with universities through this competition and leverage AI technology to promote the integration capability for the propaganda and education of consumer rights and interests protection, in an effort to connect users swiftly and prevent financial fraud.
CAI Liaoliao detailed the competition’s rules, evaluation criteria, and award design. She emphasized the social practical value of the competition, stating that entries should balance aesthetic appeal with positive public impact. Additionally, four key focuses were outlined, including wealth management, prevention and combat against illegal financial activities, anti-fraud, and rights guardianship. Participants were encouraged to show their entries through various forms such as videos, curated exhibitions, and fine arts. Finally, she introduced the competition’s schedule and award mechanism, including special awards such as the Public Favorite Award and Grand Jury Award.

Keynote Speeches
During the keynote speech session, WANG Jiansong, Vice President of TASA, CAI Xinyuan, Dean of Design School at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, QIN Jingyan, Vice Dean of School of Intelligence Science and Technology at University of Science and Technology Beijing, and other guests gave their wonderful keynote speeches.

WANG Jiansong shared work achievements and reflections from the perspective of digital art and cultural innovation. He presented TASA’s explorations in digital co-creation and cultural innovation, highlighting the potential applications of AI technology in art and design. Moreover, he demonstrated how to integrate traditional culture with modern technology through specific cases to boost cultural innovation and industrial upgrading, and encouraged financial institutions and art colleges to engage in innovative collaborations for jointly exploring AI applications in the propaganda and education of consumer rights and interests protection.
CAI Xinyuan discussed how AI reshapes art and design in light of artificial intelligence and artistic design. Through case studies, he showcased the close connection between the development of art history and technological revolutions, indicating that AI technology is leading artistic creation into a new dimension. He highlighted that the competition’s significance would lie not merely in rapid production of promotional materials, but more importantly in re-examining the relationship between art and society, thus exploring new paths for artistic creation in the context of AI.

QIN Jingyan explored the thoughts on sustainable innovation of artificial intelligence from the points of digital and natural ecological civilization. She stressed the critical role of design in future-oriented development, proposing quantum thinking as a catalyst for innovative cognition to transcend intuitive self-thinking. Her presentation also addressed AI applications in eight key elements—hardware, software, data, algorithm, computing power, security, system, and ecosystem—as well as designers’ roles and missions in the AI era.
The National University AI Creativity Competition for Propaganda and Education of Consumer Rights and Interests Protection is led by Ant Group, Zhejiang E-Commerce Bank Co., Ltd., and TASA, with the joint participation of multiple renowned universities including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, China Academy of Art, Tongji University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Zhejiang University of Technology, Hunan University, and Jiangnan University. TASA will leverage this competition to expand its business domains, and deepen innovative practices with partners such as Ant Group and Zhejiang E-Commerce Bank. It will continuously explore the establishment of a new mechanism that organically integrates technological innovation, industrial upgrading, and financial empowerment while serving society and promoting the popularization and sustainable dissemination of financial knowledge in consumer rights protection, so as to build a high-quality platform for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
