"Metaverse of Mountains and Seas, with Art & Science Stars" Art and Science Fusion Creative Exhibition Opened at Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research

The "Metaverse of Mountains and Seas, with Art & Science Stars" Art and Science Fusion Creative Exhibition, sponsored by Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research, co-organized by Department of Sculpture, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University and Beijing Central Academy of Public Art and supported by Qingdao Public Space Art Promotion Center and Qingdao Creation Exhibition Center of The Chinese Urban Sculpture Artists Association, was officially opened on May 20, 2023 at Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research.

The Exhibition is not only an important section for Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research to prepare for the activities of Qingdao Science and Technology Week 2023, but also the preface to the launch of the "Art of Mountains and Seas" Festival. Around mountains and seas, the Exhibition, in combination with the concept of art-science fusion, expressed the cognition of the world and vision of future technology from different angles, where artists jointly strived to build a universe for art of mountains and seas and implement the philosophy of "a community of mountains and seas".

WANG Jiansong, Curator and Executive Vice President of Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research, delivered a speech at the opening of the exhibition. He said that the Academy, as a research institute dispatched by Tsinghua University, was committed to continuously exploring the interdisciplinary development possibility of academic and scientific research achievements on the road of art-science fusion and innovation. During the Qingdao Science and Technology Week, the Academy also opened the preface of the "Art of Mountains and Seas" Festival, hoping to add a splash of artistic color to Qingdao, a city near the mountains and seas, with the "Metaverse of Mountains and Seas, with Art & Science Stars" Art and Science Fusion Creative Exhibition; Gathering art and science, we aim to explore stars in the sky!
