Industry Cooperation Starts a New Chapter in Advanced Manufacturing
New quality productive forces are driven by innovation and new paths for development are opened up through win-win cooperation. The Advanced Manufacturing and Design Prototype Laboratory of the Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research (TASA) has once again taken a solid step forward through industry introduction on this road of exploring the development of new quality productive forces.
Recently, Beijing Guangchi Mock-up Model Technology Co., Ltd., a specialized mock-up model design and production service provider, officially settled in the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Prototype Laboratory of TASA. The company will cooperate with the Lab to provide integrated service and carry out design research and development exploration in the aspect of mock-up model design and production. The settlement of Beijing Guangchi is an important attempt by TASA to explore the development of new quality productive forces and building an open, cooperative and platform-based laboratory development plan.
Using TASA as the forefront of the cross-integration of arts and science and integrating advanced technology, precision equipment and technological professionals, the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Prototype Laboratory cooperates with enterprises to provide equipment sharing and technical services while engaging in mock-up manufacturing, prototype verification, scientific research experiments and other businesses.
The Lab, covering a total area of more than 6,000㎡, owns more than 40 sets of advanced instruments and general equipment, such as industrial-grade 3D printers, high-speed carves-milling machines, CNC turning and milling machines, and has three major functional regions, including mock-up manufacturing, metalwork and woodworking workshops. It can provide plant-wide services such as 3D scanning reverse modeling, model recovering, model printing and manufacturing, and post-coating treatment. It has cooperated with local enterprises, universities and research institutions in the aspect of mock-up production, film and television properties, marine machinery and marine engineering equipment, industrial design and integrated research on arts and science to provide services.
As a specialized mock-up service provider, Beijing Guangchi Mock-up Model Technology Co., Ltd., which has settled in the Lab recently, focuses on 3D printing, mock-up models, sheet metal/aluminum production, plastic molds, plastic products and design/small-lot and mass production. The company is committed to providing customers with solutions for trial production and verification in the new product design stage and small-lot and mass production solutions, with a perfect service system and rich experience in the industry.
The settlement of Beijing Guangchi has significantly improved the technical service capabilities of the Lab in the fields of mock-up model production, complex mold production and precision machining. Both sides rely on each other, complement each other's advantages, and build teams to provide more specialized technical services in the fields of auto mock-up model production, marine machinery and marine engineering equipment, special film and television properties and precision molds on the basis of providing solid support to the design innovation, product development and scientific research experiments of the TASA, thus providing strong support for regional industrial development.
This cooperation is an extension of the building mechanism for TASA's scientific research platforms by the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Prototype Laboratory and an important exploration of the deep integration of industry, university and research. It not only effectively shortens the time for moving scientific research results from the Lab to the market, but also greatly promotes the rapid introduction of high-quality products and services to the market.
Based on TASA's overall positioning and strategic planning, the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Prototype Laboratory will continue to explore new models, channels, and paths for developing new quality productive forces, steadily promote various businesses of the Lab, and strive to build an open, cooperative and platform-based laboratory.
